Final Niska Road PIC Meeting
The city it’s second Public Information Centre on Thursday, Sept 10th to enhance public involvement in the Niska Road environmental assessment. The meeting will be held in the gymnasium of the Kortright Presbyterian Church at 55 Devere Drive from 5-7 PM. The location is wheelchair accessible and all Guelph residents are invited to attend. This is an important issue to Ward 6 and the entire city and thus I plan to be in attendance at the meeting.
The results will be presented of environmental studies completed to date, alternative design concepts evaluated and the preliminary preferred design concepts for the road, bridge and intersection at Downey Road.
The fate of Niska Road and bridge will come to council this fall, with any work needed to be included in the 2016 budget deliberations.
